Okay, I'm sorry to say that I've read most of this so far because it's been either pointless whining, or haughty "WELL I NEVER!" and both sides are looking like total duffers.

The worst part, however, has to be the INCREDIBLY LAME edits on wikipedia. Do you honestly think anyone cares if your hacking behinds were banned for an exploit? I mean, most of us hardly care and we *play* the game.

There's a large area outside your house. Blue sky, bright ball of sun. You might want to visit it sometimes and step away from the internet...

Fact: they took the easy way out by just banning everyone involved.

UNTRUTH - they banned those that continually expoited - not everyone that even used it

Fact: lots of angy people cause of injustice.

FIB - there are a number of angry people beliving they or their friends have been treated unjustly, but there is a massive majority who congratulate ANET for the actions taken to protect the game.

The relationship officiers in this thread are showing the admin point of view wich is very understanable , the banned people are showing the community side of view also understanable.

TRIPE - the banned people, by and large, are showing off their own self interest and justification (again, congrats to the brave few who are able to face up to things). To try and express their view as the community view is just staggering.

So before you post please read the comments of the people really involved and ask yourself why would a person with 10k hours risking to get his account banned. Trust me its not the mony.

Well I fixed up your post as best I could. To be honest, I am more than happy to welcome many of these 117 back into the community and am in favour of a time / run and forfeit your ill gotten gains approach. It was the drivel of self-justification that stuck in my craw - man up ladybug and admit you were wrong.

An awful lot of emotion in that one post...over a game.
Lose alot of profit?
2nd account was banned too? (had all those lovely armbraces on it?)
As gaile stated: ALL chat logs are being gone thru, if ANY are banned for just being 'kidnapped' into that Dev outpost....their pleas for unban will be considered.

I'd like to remind everybody to not quote the obvious flames/trolls in this thread. Instead report the posts. That way us moderators have to delete the post instead of deleting the post and then deleting every post that has quoted it.

As for everyone asking for it to be closed, stop asking. Inde wants this thread open, it is not being closed until she personally does it.

Read and you discover that most people did not where aware of it was beeing created by 3rd party software and youll learn that such bugs been around a long time and have been farmed alot also.

im feeling sorry for the ppl who already could have not beeing playing for 2days, 2 days to hell so far. Hope this stuff sorts out soon.

I'm sure most of the people who abused this exploit, didn't know it was a hack or wouldn't have done it. The reason they did abuse the exploit is because Anet is lack in banning for past exploits, so they figured eh they won't catch me.

Also not everyone reads things/hears things so might not have gotten Gaile's warning.

Granted that doesn't give them much for their case but at least it's something. You also don't have to throw the reasons why this doesn't matter at me as you've said them all before and I really will not care/read if you do them again.

After reading Gaile's latest post in the thread, I now feel that I understand the situation at hand better. However, I feel like the people doing the actual hacking deserve more of a punishment than the people who just (knowlingly) went along with it.

My analogies in this thread are probably pretty bad, but if a group of kids gets busted for drinking, the guy who supplied the alcohol is a lot worse off than everyone else.

he/she never lied, there just the persons trying to clean up and sort out the mess the support teams are making.

Players involved replying there opinions , meanwhile its getting flamed by people who see the word hack and keep yelling ban everyone.
